Fawlty Towers
A teasmade features briefly in fourth episode of the second series of Fawlty Towers, which is called ‘The Kipper and the Corpse’. In this episode Basil takes some out of date kippers up to a guest for his breakfast, but fails to notice that the guest has died in his sleep. Polly later takes up some milk and discovers that the guest is dead. While moving the body across the upstairs hall, Miss Abitha Tibbs, played by Gilly Flower, sees the corpse and becomes hysterical. Polly slaps her, knocking her out in the process. They hide the unconscious Miss Tibbs and the dead body in a nearby bedroom wardrobe. When the old dear revives, they take her back to her room and there, just for a moment, we see a Goblin teasmade.
