The Goblin Logo

By the Second World War BVC had used several illustrations of goblins on their literature. In 1937 the leaping red goblin was in regular use. Goblin registered the red goblin device, leaping and standing, as a trademark on 17th September 1940. The initial registration ran for 14 years, was renewed for another 14 on 17/9/54 and again on 17/9/68. It was formally abandoned on 8th April 1982. A memo states: “We have no intention of using this symbol again.”
