Time Bandits

In the closing moments of the 1981 film The Time Bandits, when Sean Connery makes his now legendary appearance as the fireman, a teasmade features as a vital item of salvage recovered from the burning family home. It is a bit out of frame so full details cannot be ascertained, although in the film, as Mum knocks it from Dad’s grasp and it falls to its destruction, Dad describes it as a deluxe model. In the end it is the toaster oven, not the teasmade, which takes over the starring role.
