1967 Ekco Hawkins Tiffeematic LGH 1700
Ekco had not made teasmades before their merger with Hawkins in 1960, but in 1947 they had manufactured a clock radio, the A33 Radiotime, a very modern looking appliance compared to the Goblin Timespot of the same date, the cabinet of which was designed by the architect and designer Wells Coates.
The new company EKCO Hawkins produced several teasmade models. In a copy of their first joint product catalogue, dated 1967, there are three: the Tecal LGH 4400 and 4000CH, and the Tiffeematic LGH1700. In the foreground is the top of the Boilette LGH255.
