Why won't my teasmade kettle boil?
When your teasmade clock is working, the light is working, and everything else seems to be working, but for some reason the kettle just won’t boil, there are two likely explanations:
- You have not placed the teapot in the correct position, or pushed it firmly into place. Most teasmades have a fail-safe switch which stops the kettle from boiling if the teapot is not there. This is designed to stop the teasmade from pouring scalding water all over your bedside table – or worse still, over you.
- There is not enough water in the kettle. If yours is a platform type teasmade, the weight of the water if holds the platform down and this activates a switch, allowing the kettle to boil. This prevents the kettle from boiling dry.
