Repairing a modern teasmade
Care and repair for a modern type teasmade, made in China.
Firstly, do make sure that you have read this post about kettles that won't boil!
If that doesn't help, Doug says:
If your teasmade is a modern type, made in China (this includes the Swan DO1 and later models), all the fuctions are electronic and mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB).
They are not intended to be repaired and no spares are available, except possibly teapots and light bulbs. They have a life expectancy of around 8 years (they suffer from 'dry joints' after a few years).
An electronics engineer may be able to help but it is most unlikely that anyone could fix one of these if it is a PCB fault.
An earlier Goblin with conventional electro-mechanical engineering is easier to fix and more robust. I have a 1938 model still working.
