TechRadar shared an interesting post last week about the UK's apparent reluctance to embrace the idea of a smart kettle. The writer, Josephine Watson, is TechRadar's Managing Editor in the Lifestyle department. She expressed her amazement that the UK - the very country which was so enthusiastic about the teasmade some forty years ago - now seems somewhat reluctant to embrace any of the latest tea-making paraphernalia.
Watson praised the lifestyle marketing for the Appkettle, which was launched some seven years ago. You can see it in the video below. Unfortunately the Appkettle disappeared from sale about five years later, and the app is no longer supported.
Swan Alexa Smart Kettle
Bringing us up to date, Watson was particularly impressed by the sleek black Swan Alexa Smart Kettle. It was introduced early in 2023, and at the time of posting it is available in the UK via Amazon or direct from Swan. Click here or on the image below to see this model on Amazon.
Hopefully, this will model have a longer innings!
