The 835c went into production on December 6th 1971, replacing the 835b (as Goblin Leatherhead records confirm). The style was unchanged, except for a brown lower strip where the neon lens was. All the 835 variations continued to use the same large clock motor as the earlier models. From at least 1973 the teasmade could be purchased with the Anthea tea set.

A Goblin internal letter, written by Mr T C Anderson to Mr Lewis on 10th Sept 1973, confirms that Mr Johnstone had announced that the planned deletion of the adjustable buzzer on the 835 would take effect on 5th November 1973, allowing time to use up the remaining stock of parts. Mr Anderson therefore requested that the amended instruction leaflet for the 835c, already printed, should be sent to Ireland by 30th October 1973.

A memorandum dated 22nd November 1973 confirms that the variable buzzer was dropped from all 835 units with a serial number of 206617 or later.

The 835c was discontinued in 1974, when it was replaced by the new 855.
